Dermal Fillers

As the years turn we see the effects of aging on our skin. Looking in the mirror we can notice deeper grooves around the mouth, our eyes look hollower and our lips become thinner. A lot of these challenges are due to a loss of collagen in our faces.

At-home skin products can help plump our skin, but sometimes we need a bit more help to fight against the sagging effect and achieve that desired lift- this is exactly what dermal fillers can help with!

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to replace lost volume, smooth wrinkles and lines, soften creases, and restore a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are a non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment.

Our products

Dermal fillers are primarily made of Hyaluronic Acid. One of the othe options used at BioConnect is Belotero Balance which is an FDA-approved Hyaluronic Acid filler.

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance already found in your skin and helps keep your skin plump and hydrated. Over time, your body’s stores of Hyaluronic Acid decline. Age is one of the reasons and the key benefit of Hyaluronic Acid is hydration and the ability to retain moisture. Hyaluronic Acid results are temporal, lasting 6 to 12 months before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles

Dermal fillers can also be made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) .  Radiesse is an FDA-approved Calcium Hydroxylapatite filler that we also offer to our patients.

Calcium Hydroxylapatite is also a naturally occurring substance, found primarily in your bones. The consistency of CaHa fillers is typically thicker than that of a Hyaluronic Acid and lasts approximately 6 to 12 months for most patients.

For patients who suffer from dark bags under their eyes or very sunken eyes, dermal fillers are a great solution as it forms a water-based film underneath the skin and rejuvenates tired eyes, and plumps the hollow area. At BioConnect we use a soft, gentle cannula for this delicate area to reduce any injury for the safe delivery of this under-eye solution.

How much do dermal filler injections cost?

Fillers cost start at $750 per vial up to $1000 per vial based on the type of filler and area being injected. The type of dermal filler will be discussed with you with Dr. Corona for the best solution for your concerned area.
